Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point

We visited Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point a couple of days after visiting the Dinosaur Museum. It was a hot day, but after spraying sunscreen on the kids, we made our way to go see the animals.

When we walked in to pay, there was this big cow that the kids thought was sweet. Kassidy wanted to get on it, which surprised me, but she got on and we took a picture! It took me about 10 tries before I got this one of the kids. It seemed everyone wanted to have their arms up in the air and yell, "yee haw!"

Georgie milking the fake cow.

The kids loved feeding the animals out of their hands and occasionally, the animals started to feed on their shirts when the kids got too close to them.

It was funny, we were rounding a corner and I could smell something that was very familiar to me. PIGS. Yes, my Grandpa Fujimoto had pigs on his farm. We would visit them during our summer break and he always let us feed them. It was so much fun feeding them the grain and then all of the leftovers that Grandma Fujimoto saved in a plastic bucket (I would always try and sneak my veggies into the bucket with no one knowing). Funny how that was one of the big highlights of our vacation!

Wanted to keep them there for just a little while...hee hee!

The kids had a choice of either riding a horse or going on a wagon ride...they all unanimously chose the horse ride! This is Chloe in her cute cowboy hat, so pretty!

George on his horse, looking "cool".

The boys.

Kassidy on her horse. I thought it was so cute when she told me she wanted to ride the horse that Chloe rode. Kassidy just loves Chloe!! Chloe played so well with Kassidy and took her under her wing...thanks, Chloe!!

Kassidy surprised me so much on this trip, she really is growing up and not afraid of things like this anymore. She's not a baby anymore!
