Today has been one of those days that things just weren't going too well for me. I was at Walmart on the phone talking to my old Property Manager about my renter and I looked over at the clock at it said 3:37. Keegan gets out of school at 3:30, so I get off the phone and then call the school and tell them I totally forgot about picking Keegan up and to make him wait for me. So, by now it's 3:40 and as I turn down the street where Keegans' school is, I notice Keegan walking down the sidewalk (at least 4 blocks away from school) with his cousin. I pull over and as he opens the door I start blurting out, "What do you think you're doing??? You are supposed to be waiting for me at the school, you NEVER leave the school yard without me, dad, Auntie Sumi or Grandma!" Of course, he has to come back with, "Well, where were you? You're always early, I thought you forgot about me...I thought I'd walk home with Mike." So, then I had to tell him that I was really sorry and that I was at Walmart and forgot the time." Bad mommy!!! I felt bad, but what if I had come a different way? Just can't think about that, it makes my stomach turn...who knows if he would have tried to cross Main St., which is a very busy street. So, I told him to jump in and I had to go to the school to tell them that I had found him. Well, the school had done a preliminary search for him and couldn't find him anywhere, so as I walked in and told them that I had him, they sighed in relief and told me that they were about to go and do a more through search (which I take is the grounds and maybe the streets?). All I know, is that I'm glad that I found him safe and sound.
But there is a funny part to this story. As I was driving to the school to let them know that I had found Keegan, I noticed a guy walking his dog, more like his dog got away and he had him by the collar. So, I then notice the tail of the dog and it looks really strange. Then I slowly drive by and there it is...a goat! I guess the guy has a lot right by the school that they use for their garden and the goats were tied up there and they got somehow got loose. I think there were 3, but they only found 2. Here are the pictures, they're not the greatest, but I sure got a kick out of it...only in Cedar would you see this!
