Brian got me some roses and a cake and the kids got me chocolate for my birthday (I already bought some clothes a couple of months ago for my b-day present) and we celebrated tonight. The kids loved the cake and Kassidy belted out the Happy Birthday song and when it got to Happy Birthday, dear Julie...she added Poopyhead to the end of my name, yep, we need to thank her brother's for that!
Why did we celebrate a couple of days later?? Well, I started to come down with an ear ache on Friday and by Saturday night, I was in so much pain and could hardly hear out of it. Sunday, my ear, cheek and neck on my left side was swollen and hard as a rock, with intense pain and barely any hearing and about a total of 6 hours of sleep the last two days. So Monday morning I made Brian take me to the Dr. and I found out I had otitis externa...swimmer's ear. It's so painful and I'd rather have contractions and go into full labor without an epidural than have this pain.

The Dr. gave me some Loritab for the pain (so thankful for that!!) and 1 oral antibiotic and 1 topical antibiotic. Well, I guess I didn't have enough to eat with my Loritab, so on my birthday, I spent it throwing up and having a major headache. The first time I did it, Kassidy was the only one home with me and she watched me run through her bedroom to the bathroom. Then she noticed me cleaning the toilet (because for some reason, boys and men CANNOT hit the toilet water and I WAS NOT going to toss my cookies on their urine stains!!!!) trying to hold back throwing up until I had everything sterilized. Then I tossed my cookies and I could hear this sweet voice asking me what was wrong and hearing her run away and come back with a water bottle jug and telling me that she got me some water. She then proceeded to tell me that I did a "good job"...what a sweetheart!! The next time it happened, Kaden came walking up to me asking what I was doing (of course he has no idea what I was doing, they just throw up anywhere that is most convenient for them...I don't think any of them have hit the toilet). The moment he asked me what I was doing, I tossed my cookies and all I could hear was him running away and I didn't see him again until he came into my room later to give me hugs and ask me what happened.
So, all in all, my birthday
day wasn't the greatest, but it was so nice to have the family celebrate my birthday tonight.
