Every 24th of July, Utah and some surrounding states celebrate Pioneer Day. It's a major holiday in Utah, celebrated every year on July 24th - the day Brigham Young led a group of pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley. On this 24th of July (how many times do you think that I can say 24th of July??), we celebrated Kiriko and Kassiy's birthdays and then shot off fireworks at Iron Springs Elementary School.

Kiyomi was so sweet to help Kassidy out during festivites. Here they are holding a sparkler and Kassidy is nervous but knows she's in good hands when Kiyomi is around!
Here Kassidy and Kiriko are getting their first sparklers...like the looks on their faces??Here are more pictures of the kids!

After the sparklers, Yoshi and his friend's, Scott and Sherwin helped out with the fireworks. My boys thought they were so cool...think it was mostly because they were playing with "fire".

The fireworks!
